A webinar introducing the Global Complementary Feeding Collective
Ready, Set, Grow: Collective Action for Complementary Feeding
On November 12, 2024, the Global Complementary Feeding Collective hosted the webinar “Ready, Set, Grow: Collective Action for Complementary Feeding.” The Collective, co-led by UNICEF and WHO, is a partnership of global agencies dedicated to improving complementary feeding practices, diets, and outcomes through enhanced programming, policies, and advocacy.
Webinar attendees heard directly from policy makers who have taken action and achieved successful outcomes in improving the diets of young children and learned why complementary feeding should be an advocacy priority for anyone concerned with the well-being of infants and young children.
During the webinar, the Global Complementary Feeding Collective presented its coordinated key actions for improving complementary feeding. It also introduced its Complementary Feeding Toolkit, an online repository of key resources for complementary feeding advocates to use in their efforts to accelerate progress to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals for nutrition. The 90-minute webinar was simultaneously interpreted in Arabic, Chinese, French, Spanish and Russian.
